1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
Welcome to MyWallet ("the Website"). By accessing or using MyWallet, you ("User") agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Website.
2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
MyWallet provides an online cryptocurrency paper wallet generator, allowing Users to generate self-custodial cryptocurrency wallets for various networks. Additionally, MyWallet offers complementary services, including but not limited to, an escrow service and a Proof of Ownership (PoO) service. MyWallet is free to use and operates without advertisements. Revenue is generated through donations and service fees.
3. SELF-CUSTODIAL RESPONSIBILITY
(a) Upon creating a wallet using MyWallet, the User assumes full responsibility for securely storing wallet data, including private keys and addresses. This data may be downloaded, printed, written on paper, or stored by other means of the User’s choosing.
(b) MyWallet provides an option to save wallet data in an encrypted cookie to facilitate future access. However, MyWallet makes no guarantees regarding the integrity or longevity of such cookies. Cookies may be deleted, corrupted, or become inaccessible due to technical failures, and Users should not rely solely on this feature.
(c) MyWallet shall not be responsible for any loss of wallet data or associated cryptocurrency funds due to failure by the User to adequately store their credentials.
4. FINANCIAL LIABILITY
(a) The User is solely responsible for managing and securing funds within their cryptocurrency wallet. MyWallet shall not be liable for any financial losses, theft, hacking, unauthorized access, or any other circumstances resulting in the loss of cryptocurrency.
(b) The User bears full responsibility for ensuring the lawful use of funds held within their wallet. MyWallet shall not be held accountable for any illicit, criminal, fraudulent, or otherwise illegal use of the User’s wallet.
5. ESCROW SERVICE
(a) MyWallet provides an escrow service acting as a neutral third party between a buyer and seller to facilitate transactions where trust is lacking.
(b) The buyer transfers funds to a MyWallet-controlled escrow account, and MyWallet releases the funds to the seller upon confirmation of product or service delivery.
(c) In case of a dispute, MyWallet will act as an arbitrator and make a determination based on provided evidence. MyWallet commits to ensuring objectivity and fairness but does not guarantee a specific outcome.
(d) MyWallet charges a pre-determined service fee for escrow transactions, regardless of whether a dispute arises. This fee is clearly communicated before the transaction is executed.
(e) MyWallet assumes no liability for the legality of the transaction between the parties. Its role is limited to verifying that the seller has delivered the agreed-upon product or service to the buyer. MyWallet does not assess or validate the legality of such goods or services within any jurisdiction and shall not be held accountable for any legal or illegal transactions facilitated through the escrow service.
6. PROOF OF OWNERSHIP (PoO) SERVICE
(a) MyWallet provides a free Proof of Ownership (PoO) service that enables Users to generate a shareable URL verifying that they control a specific cryptocurrency wallet.
(b) To generate a PoO, the User must save or import their wallet to MyWallet by providing the private key. This process serves as proof of ownership.
(c) The PoO is issued with an email address declared by the User and must only be used with their own email address, not a third party’s.
(d) MyWallet is not responsible for any misuse of the PoO service or any consequences arising from its use.
7. PRIVACY AND DATA USAGE
(a) MyWallet handles User data in accordance with its Privacy Policy. By using MyWallet, the User consents to the collection and processing of their data as outlined therein.
(b) MyWallet reserves the right to use User data at its discretion while maintaining compliance with applicable data protection laws.
(c) MyWallet does not share User data with third parties except when legally compelled by relevant authorities.
8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
(a) MyWallet is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. MyWallet disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
(b) MyWallet does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of its services and is not liable for technical failures, loss of data, or any other interruptions in service.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
(a) Under no circumstances shall MyWallet, its affiliates, directors, employees, or partners be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, loss of funds, data, reputation, or business opportunities arising from the use or inability to use MyWallet.
(b) The User agrees to indemnify and hold harmless MyWallet from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of their use of MyWallet.
10. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS
MyWallet reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of MyWallet following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
